Nate's part of the story
The weekend of January 6th I went on a men's retreat. While there I finished my plans on how I was going to propose to Cindy. The plan was that I needed to get back to her house as quickly as possible after the retreat so I could take her to church. I was able to set the roses out while she was getting the sound ready for church.
I decided that I needed two things: it must be a surprise and roses would be involved. Therefore I made sure that she had no idea it was coming on that faithful Sunday evening.
Since I didn't see her all weekend it made sense that we would go back to her house to hang out after church. Little did she know that when I had the car that I drove back to Harrisburg. This was all a part of my plan to make sure Cindy felt extremely loved and cared for each and every moment we spend together.
After church we went back to her house. I opened the door and turned on the lights. She saw the roses and was turning around to give me a hug. I managed to get on bended knee with the ring box opened and asked her to marry me. I couldn't have asked it to go better. :o) She said "yes" and we are getting married on August 8, 2008 at 6:30 in the evening.
My heart was beating so fast. :o). boy was all the planning worth it. Now I am able to plan our special day and more importantly spend time on our knees committing our relationship to the Lord. The wedding day is extremely important, but it is essential that we plan and build our relationship on Christ for the rest of our lives. It's that foundation that really matters.

How it happened ...
It was Sunday night, 01/06/08 ... we had gone to the evening service together and then drove back to my house afterwards. He opened the door for me, turned on the lights, and there were roses on the table! 3 on the side table for "I Love You", 8 on the dining room table, and one upstairs on my pillow. I took one look at the roses (which he doesn't buy a lot) and said something like, "Woh!" Then I turned around, and he was on one knee, holding the ring, and he said, "Will you marry me?". I said, "Oh my goodness!", and then "Yes!" ... all the while jumping up and down. It fits perfectly and looks fabulous!
